Chamberlain Lake Rest Area is located at Mile 73 on Highway 14 between Bingen and Lyle. Since it is a real highway rest area, there are restrooms, parking, drinking water and picnic tables available. Though not an official railroad location, it is situated atop a series of four tunnels offering some great views of both railroad action and the Columbia River Gorge. The Union Pacific is also visible (and audible) across the river, but you'll need a long lens to get any photos of them.
