Baltimore & Ohio’s name survived into the 1990′s, at least on this gondola. Four-foot long logs of oak were being shipped from the east to Tacoma, Washington, where they were being loaded onto ships bound for Asia. No doubt the wood returned to your local home improvement center as knock-down furniture!

TMRW 1523 is an EMD MP15AC built in 1982 (#818040-25) and was acquired by Tacoma Rail in 2003. It is the former FNM 9825 and NDM 9825.

Herzog 167 at Tacoma, Washington, on July 20, 2009. Not sure what HZGX 167 is, but it was evidently part of maintenance of way equipment doing trackwork on BNSF’s Seattle Sub.
