Dunsmuir Railroad Days

Dunsmuir, California, hosted it’s annual Railroad Days on June 10-12, 2011. Many pieces of railroad equipment were on display including Union Pacific’s Daylight heritage engine and many selections from the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, CA.

Snowfighters at Dunsmuir

Dunsmuir, California, hosted a yard and turntable for both the Southern Pacific and now the Union Pacific. It also is the base for the railroad’s snowfighting equipment on the Shasta Route.
